Genekha – Gur (7 km, 5 hours, 550m Ascend, 60m Descend, Camp ALT 3290m)

Exploration at Labatama
Labatama – Panka (8 km, 6 hours, 220m Ascend, 520m Descend, Camp ALT 4000m)
Panka via Talakha and Chamgang – Thimphu (14 km, 8 hours, 180m Ascend, 1540m Descend)
Genekha – Gur
Trek will start from Genekha village, famous for producing Masutake and Chanterelle mushrooms. We will be walking through mule path through coniferous forest rich with alpine flora and different kinds of birds. After descending to the river and ascending for about two hours uphill, you will reach the huge rock platform (3350m), giving you the attractive view of the valley. Another two hours of trekking and you will reach the campsite, Gur (3290m).
Gur – Labatama
Today is one of the mind refreshing treks with a beauty of rocky mountain vegetation. The trek is among beautiful wild flowers, wild asparagus, beautiful meadows and intertwining tiny streams arriving at Pagalabtsa Pass (4250m). From this pass we will have great view of Kanchenjunga (Sikkim) and other Bhutanese Himalayan peaks. As you descend, you will have great view of Dagala range and camp of the herders. Lunch will be served there. After descending into Labatama valley and gradually ascending through the valley, you will reach Utsho lake (4300m), where golden trout are in abundance. We will be camping next to the lake.
Exploration at Labatama
There are many lakes nearby, such as Relitsho, Hentsho, Setsho and Jegetsho. We will spend the day exploring any of these lakes which are in abundance of trout. After the lunch, we can attempt to climb the Jomo peak, which is at an altitude of 5050m.
Labatama – Panka
Will be walking along the western side of the Dagala tsho with a splendid view of Everest (Nepal), Kanchenjunga (Sikkim), Masagang, Tiger mountain, Tshendgang and Jichu Drake in Bhutan. The path descends from there to Dohha Chhu River. We will be following the river for a while until we reach Panka (4000m), where we will camp.
Panka via Talakha and Chamgang – Thimphu
We will be crossing several impressive passes with a view of different varieties of Blue Poppy and mountain birds. Gradual ascend will reach us to Tale La (4180m) after lunch with a view of Dagala range and Thimphu is Breath taking. Descending through forest of spruce, birch, Juniper and Rhododendron to Talakha Gompa (3080m) and from there we will be hiking down through mixed vegetation’s to the valley of Chamgang. Bhutan Tourister car will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel, Thimphu.
